Other Comedies

All these books were the result of the popularity and commercial success of Coffee, Tea or Me? That book, and its three sequels, created a demand by some publishers for other books in the same lighthearted, frothy vein. I was happy to accommodate. Tender Loving Care is a good example. It featured the alleged escapades of military nurses.

In effect, I simply changed professions (and uniforms), and wrote with the same philosophy as I had with Coffee, Tea or Me? - “Boys chasing girls but no heavy breathing.”

The story of how each of these books came about can be found in my autobiography, Every Midget Has an Uncle Sam Costume: Writing for a Living.
