Historical Romantic Novels

I wrote a few of these because it was a wildly popular genre. My cousin, Jack Pearl, made a lot of money writing a series of historical romantic novels under the name Stephanie Blake, and he encouraged me to explore my feminine side.

Jack's books were so successful, he received a proposal of marriage from a devoted fan, a Dallas doctor who fell in love with Stephanie Blake after reading "her" books. I encouraged Jack to accept, but he wouldn't do it, said his wife June wouldn't like another woman in her kitchen.

Sad to say, my books never engendered any amorous proposals.
